I always feel bad for good Priests who inherit these ugly 80's Churches. Its great to see that there is still hope for some of them with a little renovation. Makes me wonder what will happen to the Cathedral if a good Bishop inherits the Archdiocese of LA.

A splendid "Before" and "After".

A brief moan, not to be taken to seriously :

How is the priest going to celebrate "ad orientem" with those flowers on the floor in front of the altar.

Wouldn't the chairs look better placed sideways, facing the altar ?

No communion rails !

Otherwise, a very clever (and very lovely) transformation.

Awesome.
I love my church here, but it suffers from the same malady as the one we attended in Downingtown; it looks like Mike Brady designed it.

I'm hoping it's a staged renovation project where they add the altar rails later.
