Firefox users we wanted to take this space to let you know what Mozilla, the company that makes Firefox has been doing, and it's not good. Mozilla recently forced it's CEO to resign because he had, 5 years ago, donated $1,000 to a pro-family political group. Apparently Mozilla is intolerant of anyone that disagrees with their Liberal view of politics. To read more please visit

Unfortunately, this is becoming all too familiar at my local churches. (I usually attend the Tridentine mass but there are occasions when I can't get to it). I actually went to one church were there was a teenage band - guitar, bass, keyboard and drums. They chatted and drank water in between songs and were just generally disrespectful. I hear the organ less at less - there are 2 churches out of the about 10 in my area.
Ha...I had to laugh when I saw this cartoon! I am a PV at a St Happy's in No. Cal. and this is exactly the line that I am given when I mention the concept of traditional music in the parish. For many, sadly, "traditional" means 10 or 20 years. We have so cut ourselves off from the historical roots of music, liturgy, and even our theology that anything is seen as a custom and worth defending even when it is in error. I am hopeful for the future though and pray that we are seeing the start of a real recovery of that which we so easily tossed out 40 years ago. Pray for conversion and faith.
My husband & I are fortunate enough to be parishioners at St John Cantius in Chicago; but recently, due to weather issues, we weren't able to drive in to Mass there so we attended a parish close to our house which had a band & cantor right next to the sanctuary (which was referred to as the "stage"). And it occurred to me: both the band at this parish and the choir at St John Cantius are amateurs---but the band really sounded amateurish, whereas the St Cecilia Choir does not. Has anyone else noted this in other parishes?
I ended up in December going to a mass in a beautiful enthnical French(no-longer) church with a estores high altar and altar rails that for the 11am mass had a rock band with sappy new age-lite-music. During the Pater Noster they had people reach and stand in the middle of the church and someone made a motion to hold me hands but I didn't fall for that one. It was the worst mass. I had been going to the TLM for 6 months straight and this experience was awful. Organ or silence but please no one guitars!!!
