My reaction to the proposed changes was, well, is this necessary?
Have also seen press reports indicating that the Vatican is downplaying the likelihood of the changes actually being made.
Do you have a sense from a local perspective of how likely the changes are to be made?
the changes ARE a done deal. What you saw from the USCCB website is the THE final English translation of the Mass from Latin. It is more ACCURATE than before. The article you read about no more changes has nothing to do with the translation of the 2000 Roman Missal. It is a response to a rumor that the Pope was going to rescind the option of Holy Communion in the hand.
