Father:
IMO Pelosi is too "dumb" to realize that she needs your excellent book.
Likely - if prayers have been offered up to God for her immortal soul - she will be deathbed converter.
It was tongue-in-cheek to be sure. Dr. Bill Dononue of the Catholic League was more emphatic:

ooo-kay...while I agree that Nancy Pelosi is probably not the sharpest knife in the drawer, she was not elected to represent the teachings of the Catholic Church. She was elected to represent her constituents. She represents the people in the San Francisco area, most of whom have more Progressive values. Those values are sometimes at odds with those of the Catholic Church.
I read where religion became an issue when John F. Kennedy ran for president back in the day. People were concerned that he would take orders from the Pope instead of representing the people of the U.S. He was successful in convincing people that there would be no conflict between his personal religious beliefs and his public policy decisions (as I understand this part of history).
We are a very diverse nation, and we should not be crafting public policy based upon any one religion. Look at it from this angle: if Muslims became the majority in this nation, would you want public policy based upon their Sharia Law? Probably not. So it is important that we keep religion separate from politics.
OTOH, Nancy Pelosi should probably refrain from trying to interject the Catholic religion into her secular policies as it makes her look idiotic.
Interesting and informative blog you have here, Father. I look forward to checking in from time to time to see what you've put up.
