5th edition of Catholicism for Dummies (2026) has just arrived. Since the 4th edition (2022), we have a new Pope (Leo XIV) and some new saints and beatified as well as some alternative Catholic places to visit (pilgrimages) and famous Catholics to review. FrKen Brighenti and I co-authored all five editions from 1st ed. in 2003, 2nd ed. in 2011, and 3rd in 2017. Wiley Publications who own the For Dummies series has also translated our book into Spanish, German, French, Dutch, and Portuguese. This book follows the content and outline of the Catechism for the Catholic Church and has an imprimatur from Bishop Earl Fernandes of Columbus, OH. We wrote it for Catholics of all ages, for adults, young adults, high school and college students, OCIA and CCD, for lapsed and fallen away Catholics, and for non-Catholics considering or just curious about the Catholic religion (from doctrine to liturgy to morality to spirituality). Can be used as a textbook and companion to the Bible and the Catechism.
